Patrick,
I just got an opportunity to visit the website link you sent me. I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's tragic experience. I simply cannot imagine what you and your family have experienced. Only through God's grace and mercy could anyone get past such an event. I'll be thinking of all of you tomorrow and will pray for your peace and comfort. Please be safe on your trip and I hope to see you soon.

Patrick,
I just read your post on our local news website (woodtv in grand rapids, mi) and I was heartbroken to hear about your loss, but commend your work you're doing to ensure these kinds of tragedies don't continue.
Your daughter was a beautiful girl and I'm certain she is a beautiful angel today. It brought tears to my eyes. My heart goes out to your and your family.
I was saddened to read of what happened to your daughter and how easily it could have been avoided. As a former youth leader I drove a van like this one many times. I agree expiration dates are needed and would like to know how I can best aid the cause.
You left a message on my blog www.californiainjuryblog.com in response to a posting regarding 15-passenger vans. I have just read through your website. I am pleased to see that you are making the best out of a horrible situation and doing what you can to be sure no one else suffers the pain and loss that you and your family has suffered.
You and I are on the same team on this issue. You pursue safety through legislators and getting the word out about how dangerous these vans are.
Many plaintiff auto defect attorneys, my partner and I included are fighting the same fight. Our battle field is the economics of the auto makers continuing to make these vans. The more expensive we can make lawsuits for them, the more incentive they will have to redesign, make safer or do away with this vehicle.
We are also suing the companies who rent these vans. They need to take responsibility for renting them to unsu...
need to take responsibility for renting them to unsuspecting people and people who do not have the driving experience to handle them.
We also write an article about every 15-passenger van accident that we learn about in order to get the word out to consumers to stop using these vans.
If we could work on the insurance companies to stop insuring these vans due to their dangerous propensities, maybe they then could be use for a really good purpose like building reefs or recycling their metal.

Patrick;
Thank you for responding to our blog site: www.reiffandbily.com and the articles we posted with regard to 15 passenger van rollovers.
I am so sorry to learn of your daughter's loss.I have been on a legal crusade against the maunfacturers of these vehicles for many years and every time I learn about another one of these tragic cases,I think of the senseless loss of the innocent and unknowing occupants and drivers of these death machines. The automobile manufacturers have known form the beginning that these vans, originally designed to carry cargo were not safe when loaded with multiple passengers.Their own engineers and testing revealed serious safety concerns with regard to instability and crashworthiness issues.
I have regular conversations with a young single mother who lost her son and only child in a 15 passeneger van rollover accident and the pain and story is all too familiar and never seems to abate.

I can't believe the tragedy that you have gone through. My heart goes out to you and your family. I will be thinking of you now everytime I get in one of these vehicles. Thanks for opening my eyes to this preventable tragedy.
A woman named Darlene Bakos used to live in wny and knew me. She contacted me and gave me your web site and phone #. I would love to talk to you, what would be a good day/time for me to call? I was a single mom to a handsome, talented,#1 mathmatician in our state when my son was killed in a 15 passenger van rollover at his university October 17, 2001. He too had his seatbelt on but he and another student were killed and the rest seriously injured when the van broke in half after rolling over and hitting a tree. I vowed to get these deathtraps off the road and spare other families this unimaginable grief but I hit rock bottom with my grief and couldn't come up for air for years. My two daughters and I could barely function and it caused depression and medical problems for us all. I cried looking at your daughters picture, thinking if I had been able to change legislation this wouldn't have happened to you. This is not a club you ...
Hi Pat,
Your beautiful and talented little girl would be so proud of you. I am so sorry to hear about Lexie's death. I am just in shock. I thank you for bringing this very real danger to our attention and for all the hard work you are doing to help stop anymore tragedies from occurring. God Bless you and your family. Hugs-Nicole
Dear The James Family,
Hello.My name is Kayla Frost.
I attended school with your daughter
Lexi.
When I learned about her death,it was during my first day of 5th grade.
Lexi was one of my good friends.
I was very devastated.
I saw her brother the next morning in the cafeteria.
He looked very sad.
I wanted to ask him about her,but I thought it might upset him.
So I was browsing my 4th grade yearbook, and noticed her signature upon it.
I logged on to my computer, and found this website.
I just wanted to discover the truth about her death.
I had heard SO many stories such ashe flew out the windshield,or the car ran over her.
So thanks a bunch for creating this website to help people discover her legacy.
