Our primary goal is to reduce or eliminate fatalities in 15-passenger van single vehicle rollover accidents such as took the life of Alexis James in July 2007. We're trying to prevent other families from going through the tragedy and heartbreak of losing a loved one is such a way.
You can help us in our efforts in the following ways …
1. Pass the web site on to all your family, friends, church leaders, schools, community organizations and anyone else that might own or occasionally ride in a 15-passenger van. Just following the guidelines we've listed on the web page can save lives. Remember no one plans to have an accident … they can happen to anyone.
2. Make a donation. As of 2009 all contributions are tax deductible. 100% of all contributions received go to help us in our efforts to raise awareness of the dangers of 15-passenger vans and "aged" tires. The money is used to help offset the costs of such things as … web site costs, postage costs, printing costs, costs to attend various church, university and athletic conferences, costs to attend various state and federal regulatory and legislative meetings to promote safer design and operation of 15-passenger vans … etc.
Please send your tax deductible donation to: American Center for Van and Tire Safety
5013 Jade Pasture Lane
Knoxville, TN 37918
We periodically post on the web site how we spend the contributions so you can see how your money was spent. We truly thank you for whatever support you can provide.
3. Hold a fund raiser ! This is a great way to share time with friends and to make new friends while raising money for a truly worthy cause ! Contact Patrick James at 865-951-3544 for ideas and details. We can help coordinate an event and can supply informational materials. We list all fund raisers on our web site.
Please consider our suggestions. We desperately want to make a difference in this world by reducing the number of families that are devastated by the loss of a loved one in a 15-passenger van accident … and with your help we can make a difference !
